- I've been married for 11 years to John, my best friend and 'the one' who still makes my heart flutter when he gives me that special look. I feel so fortunate to be a stay at home mom to our two sons, Nathan, 10 and Owen, 7 who are not only my greatest joy, but also seem to be the source of the many grays that are appearing in my hair due to their 'no fear' attitude! The boys keep my life very active with sports, cub scouts, and skateboarding. We feel God has called us to add to our family through adoption, and He has opened our hearts to the special need children in China. On Feb. 28, 2009 we were matched with our precious daughter, Sophie, who is 3 and is waiting for us in Beijing. We can't wait to bring her home!

I love this picture. I think it was one of my favorites of the ones I sent you. Don't you wish you knew what she was thinking???
BTW, how did your SKYPE call go last night? Ours was really good at first, then their camera froze up, but they could still see us and we could hear them. It's getting better though.
Also, while we talked with Drew someone was going to the post office to get the package we sent him. I can't wait for pictures of him opening it.

I got the Hooked On Chinese at Tuesday Mornings for $10.00 !! It is the Kindergarten one - which is right at my level !! If we can learn the numbers,colors,shapes and family members I will be tickled pink :)

I love that familiar court yard and swing. MJ LOVES to swing; i am sure Sophie will come with the same passion - something little girls like I guess!!

It is a beautiful picture, and she looks like she's really thinking! Such a contrast to so many of her pictures where she is smiling from ear to ear and buzzing around like a bee!
