Our dossier for China was officially 'logged in' on March 13, 2008.....we received our PA(preliminary approval) for Sophie exactly one year later, and we now have our visa appointment in China scheduled for July 13, 2009!!!! Our trip is planned around that appointment, so we will be leaving for Beijing on July 1st!! Woo hoo!!
We will meet Sophie for the first time at New Day Foster Home, probably on July 3rd, and we have worked an extra day into the trip to allow us to spend time there during our stay in Beijing. We are so blessed!! To complete the adoption paperwork, we plan to leave for Xinjiang on July 5th, and since there is only one flight per day to Xinjiang, we're hoping we can arrange to be on the same flight as Miss Sophie.
We are beyond excited!!! It feels so wonderful, and REAL to finally be looking at travel dates.
God is good!!!

It's almost exaclty 2 years after meeting Nina (we met her on July 2). Just be prepared for HOT, HOT, HOT, HUMID, HUMID, HUMID weather (at least it was in Hunan and Guangdong.....)
