Ummm....She's the one in the pink pants;-)).
Can you believe she just had surgery in March!? You'd never know she was wearing a prosthesis, would ya?
I tell Sophie she has THE BEST shin guard EVER on her right leg, though she insists on wearing a guard over her prosthesis, of course;-). Too cute!
OT...Sophie's getting a NEW prosthesis at the end of the month! Her leg is now pretty much totally healed and the swelling is all gone. Her current prosthesis is getting a bit big....she has to wear two prosthetic socks to keep it from falling off. I can't wait to see her run in her new one! Anyways...we're fabric shopping for a new look!! If any of you fabric connoisseurs have any links/suggestions ...we'd love to take a look.
God is good!

Oh how I love sweet Sophie and her indomitable spirit! Give her a big hug for me!!
Oh how I LOVE this video!! I'm certain NewDay will be blessed to see this and how incredible her prothesis has been... you're right, you'd never know! It seriously nearly brings me to tears, Tam! Oh my word!!
As for fabrics, I LOVE MANY of the fun Amy Butler prints... "Tumble Rose" is one of my faves, but they have so many gorgeous designs to choose from. I'm sure you'll find one that perfectly suits Miss Sophie!! So excited for the amazing progress...it's hard to believe she has only been home for 14 mos, and the changes are staggering!!
Love ya!

She is incredible! And I can't wait to see the material you choose! It must be so hard to choose.

As we already discovered, Sophie is amazing! :) She is such a strong little thing. We are continually amazed at the things you post about her! So glad that she is completely healed!
Happy Fall!
Love you,
Alycia
LOVED the video of Sophie! She is incredible!
I am a fabric junkie! Check out fabric.com and fabricdepot.com and craftersvision.com
My very favorite designers are: Michael Miller, Amy Butler, Riley Blake, Kaffe Fassett and Julia Paschkis--I especially think Riley Blake has some very special things lately. Oh yes, and in honor of my recent blog post on it ... I really like the "Happy" line (see my blog)--I can't remember the designer ... Jennifer Heinen I think.
oh my - awesome!!!! Wow!
I am a fabric junkie too. I would recommend purlsoho.com as my ultimate favorite. If i find a name I like, I check to see if it's at fabric.com where the fabric is less expensive and shipping costs are less. i like all the designers that Valerie listed, but would also add Anna Maria Horner to the list. LOVE her stuff!
Woohoo!! Amazing! I love her spirit!
Tami,
I just am sitting here thinking how far Sophie has come since you met her.... And, just how truly amazing your daughter is!!!! And, what a blessing it is to see her now! She was and is incredible!!!!! My guess is her team better look out when she gets her new leg. They will never get the ball!!!!
YAY GOD!!
Hugs,
Diana
