Shamain Island

We've spent some time on Shamain Island as we really enjoy the serenity it provides. We're not big city folks, and the slower pace and more openness is very relaxing. The kids have enjoyed the souvenir shopping too and have become quite the little barterers. They have also started practicing jianzi which is similar to hacky-sack. You can see many people playing this game all over the island. The boys brought their baseball gloves and played a little catch....they drew an audience of their own!! The bronze statues that are placed all over the island provided much entertainment for Charlotte and of course, we visited famous Lucy's for lunch for some American fare.

Had our consulate appointment today, and all that is left to do is pick up Charlotte's visa tomorrow. Home on Thursday!!!! We fly from Hong Kong to San Fransisco. Once Charlotte lands in SF she officially becomes a US citizen. 3 hours in SF, then off to Boston it is!

God is good!
